We’re a studio in HongKong with an international practice in architecture, urban planning and interior design. We believe in brainstorming and hands-on practice to increase the joy of life.

The (Slightly Unhinged) Origin Story of Joohour

It all started in the year of 2023, when two exceptionally talented—and frankly, bored—professionals looked at their very serious careers and thought, “Nah.” In a moment of beautiful madness, they quit their jobs, high-fived, and decided to build tiny, wonderful worlds instead. Thus, Joohour was born: a brand built on original ideas, questionable sleep schedules, and an unhealthy amount of coffee.

Our founding philosophy was simple yet revolutionary: What if toys didn’t have to be… boring? We find inspiration everywhere—from the dramatic drip of morning espresso to the whimsical worlds of Miyazaki films, from the cluttered charm of a Hong Kong dai pai dong to the silent wisdom of library shelves. No idea is too much here. In fact, the weirder, the better.

But here’s the secret sauce: we do everything ourselves. And we mean everything.

Our founders are designers, customer service reps, warehouse packers, and amateur therapists for disgruntled glue sticks. One is a detail-obsessed artist who’ll spend three hours perfecting the smirk on a miniature dragon. The other is a logistical wizard who can simultaneously negotiate with a factory and name a new product line while eating a sandwich. It’s chaos. Beautiful, organized chaos.

We aren’t just selling you a kit; we’re inviting you into our wonderfully world. Every box is packed with passion, precision, and the occasional leftover fingerprint. We believe that joy lives in the details—and we’re here to help you find it, one perfectly absurd creation at a time.

Welcome to Joohour. Where we took a leap of faith, and landed in a pile of incredibly fun plastic.
